Understanding people, actions and behaviour. Hxly builds custom models and datasets. Supporting organisations in developing and applying intelligence to power solutions that serve humans and society.

The underlying datasets, the manner of training utilised, the method and ownership of the model. These fundamentals are essential for organisations enter the most challenging era of AI application and embodiment.

Building behaviour

Beyond the generic, homogenised applications of artificial intelligence, are highly specific and targeted applications that businesses, organisations and society need to serve their customers and users. Applications that require a detailed and refined understanding of the humans they are designed to represent and support.

Hxly conducts research and creates resources for understanding and responding to human behaviour. In doing so we build the datasets and models needed to provide custom intelligence applications and solutions that confidently represent and serve people as individuals, as groups and communities, and in society.

Hxly is creating the datasets and the models to drive human-focused and aligned solutions, and the technical integration for owners to access, utilse and improve them sustainably.

What digital foundations are needed to deploy AI personas consistently and effectively? What are the early warning signs we need to respond to agents with access to customer credentials? How can we track identity and brand infringements, ensuring personas and agents intervene at the right moment? Our research is exploring the answers to such questions and in doing so we are building the resources needed to drive more meaningful applications of intelligence.

For organisations Hxly provides intelligence services, and offers an intelligence layer for building, deploying, and evolving their own models and datasets. The building blocks needed to power more responsive, dynamic and effective products and solutions.

What is Hxly

Hxly is an AI lab developing behavioural intelligence, with a platform for providing intelligence services to organisations. We are focused on providing organisations with the infrastructure, tools, and methodology needed to build, train, and deploy models for understanding and simulating human behaviour in highly specific and complex contexts.

Unlike generic data science platforms, Hxly is an adaptive and evolving suite of models and datasets specifically for overcoming the messy, incomplete data we find across complex systems. It is designed to surface insights and enrich decision making, and it is structured to ensure that the outcomes it generates are used to drive applications that bring maximum benefit to users and stakeholders.

How Hxly Works

Hxly operates as an end-to-end behavioural intelligence platform. It connects to your existing data infrastructure, and applies advanced modelling techniques to identify patterns and predict outcomes, to deliver insight in forms that decision-makers can apply.

Such applications are currently deployed to deliver models of organisational workforce, to provide event and campaign risk and planning simulation environments, and for monitoring individual persona and agent deployments in the represention of brands and delivery of services. Some of the fundamental processes we deliver include:

  • Data ingestion and preparation: Connect Hxly to your existing systems and data sources. Hxly handles data cleaning, normalisation, and enrichment so your models are built on solid foundations.
  • Persona creation and deployment: Test custom personas in simulated services and workflows to drive specific targeted insights. Monitor performance over time for different types of users and customers, with automatic drift detection and retraining capabilities.
  • Model development: Build custom behavioural models using Hxly's library of algorithms and modelling tools, designed for developing novel bespoke applications. To represent and simulate individual, group and large-scale customer and user engagement.
  • Validation and explainability: Every model produced by Hxly is validated rigorously, so we can understand why predictions and simulations are produced, and why reactions and responses are made, not just what the reaction or response is.

Key Features

  • Behavioural risk modelling: Identify where a system or service poses an elevated risk of negative outcomes, from product failure to service disengagement or risk exposure, before a crisis occurs.
  • Pathway analysis: Understand the sequences of events and interactions that precede different outcomes, enabling earlier and more effective interventions and solutions.
  • Outcome prediction: Predict the likely outcome of different intervention strategies, enabling the allocation of resources more effectively.
  • Explainable AI: Every prediction comes with a clear explanation of the factors that drove it; ensuring that intelligence supports human judgement rather than replacing it.
  • Ethical AI framework: Built-in tools for bias detection, fairness auditing, and governance documentation; so you can deploy intelligence responsibly.
  • Integration and APIs: Hxly integrates with existing management systems and reporting tools; putting intelligence where teams need it the most.

Why It Matters

As intelligence becomes embedded in products, services, agents, and decision-making systems, the risks of getting it wrong increase sharply. When models are built without sufficient understanding of human behaviour, context, and need, they do not simply become less effective, they can become actively harmful. They can misread intent, reinforce poor assumptions, escalate risk, exclude the vulnerable, and produce responses that are misaligned with the realities of individuals and communities.

Our investment in behavioural research, aligned design, and fit-for-purpose datasets and models, means organisations are not left relying on generic intelligence systems to solve highly specific human problems; improving the resiliance of systems that operate in sensitive, high-stakes, and fast-changing environments. The result is a movement away from brittle products, poor interventions, wasted resources, damaged trust, and services that fail the people they are supposed to support.

This challenge becomes even more urgent as AI personas, agents, and automated systems begin to act with greater autonomy. If they are not grounded in robust models of behaviour, clear governance, and an understanding of social and organisational context, they may make decisions or take actions at the wrong moment, in the wrong way, or for the wrong reasons. Misalignment at this level does not remain technical, it is operational, reputational, and societal.

Hxly exists to prevent that failure. By developing the research, datasets, models, and design methods needed for human-aligned intelligence, we support the creation of systems that are not only more capable, but more responsible, reliable, and useful in the real world. We ensure that as intelligent systems become more powerful, they remain meaningfully connected to human needs, behaviour, and outcomes.
